Come for the romantasy books, stay for the cheerful disagreement. This is a club for people who are opinionated, perfectly happy to read trash, and funny enough not to take any of it seriously. This is the first meeting of our English-language romantasy book club. Join on 30 June at 7.30 pm.
The idea is straightforward. We pick a book somewhere in the smuttasy zone, read it, and meet up every two to three months to talk about it over a casual chat over coffee, beer, wine or water (pick your poison). We meet to discuss who we like, who we think deserves a slap, and why.
Two to three months is just enough time to read the book, develop strong opinions, and prepare to defend them with humour. Our chats are casual, our disagreements are cheerful, and our judgments are affectionate, occasionally brutal, and always in service of a good laugh.
